New Mexico: White Sands National Monument

Last year I got to go to White Sands National Monument with my dad.  There was a lot of sand.  It does look like snow.  The monument is near a missile area.  You can rent a sled to slide down the sand.  While I was in the car I did see a group of people sliding down the hills.  It did look fun.  I couldn't walk up the sand.  The monument is 275 square miles of desert.  The monument changes everyday no footprint are left behind.

New Mexico: Carlsbad Caverns National Park

I went to New Mexico last year and we stop by the Carlsbad Caverns.  It was pretty cool to see.  You have to see in person.  There is water in the caverns.  There is a trail that you can follow in the caverns.  There is enough light for you to see what is in front of you.  They do have tours that you can take.
Me and my dad

At night they have bat watches.  There are a lot of bats that stay in the cave and every night around sunset the bats start coming out like in a funnel.  They come out to every direction.  You can't take pictures of this amazing thing.  You have to see it for yourself.  It's amazing.

New Mexico: Valles Caldera National Preserve

Vales Caldera was a beautiful place.  Mountains were all around the area.  There was still snow there.
