Texas: Chamizal National Memorial

Last year I met up with my dad in Texas.  I rode a train which was the first time I did it to another state.

Chamizal with the first park that we stopped at on this trip.  The building was cool with all the art work.  I learned the President JFK started a project with the Mexico President but he couldn't finished because he got killed.  Later on Lyndon B Johnson finished the project with the Mexico President in 1967.

New Mexico: White Sands National Monument

Last year I got to go to White Sands National Monument with my dad.  There was a lot of sand.  It does look like snow.  The monument is near a missile area.  You can rent a sled to slide down the sand.  While I was in the car I did see a group of people sliding down the hills.  It did look fun.  I couldn't walk up the sand.  The monument is 275 square miles of desert.  The monument changes everyday no footprint are left behind.
